If you are going to go on a trip, you should pack your suitcase wisely. Then, when you go on your vacation, you are not going to worry about a heavy suitcase. With this in mind, here are three ways to save room in your suitcase.
Take a carry-on: First and foremost, if you bring a carry-on, you can accomplish a few things. First, you will avoid over packing your suitcase as you can throw in a few items. Not only that, when you bring a bag on board, you can avoid charges and save some money. Finally, when you bring a carry-on bag, you can bring your laptop and a change of clothes in case your bag doesn’t make it to your final destination on time.

Wear your heaviest clothes: When on a plane, you should wear your heaviest clothes. By taking your jacket and biggest shoes, you can eliminate a huge problem. Then, when you pack your suitcase, you won’t have to worry about making extra room. Remember, jackets and other big items take up room, so wear them on the plane.

Really think of you needs: All-too-often, when going on a trip, a person will bring everything they think they will need. The reality is, if you are going on a trip, you can probably get by with less than you think you need. For example, if you are taking a five-day trip, you can bring less clothes and opt to wash them on the road. Remember, you can take it easy while you are on a trip.
With these three simple and straightforward tips, you can save time and money on your next trip. Remember, when on the road, you should pack lightly as you won’t need as much as you think you will need for your trip.
I’ve never travelled with a suitcase, not really practical for what I’m doing but I love the idea of getting a battered case like the one Charlie Borman had in ‘By Any Means’ … perhaps when I retire to a life of wandering with some cash rather than my current life of wandering broke! 🙂
