The best part about the drive to Vegas, aside from the scenery, is that once you cross the Nevada state line, you know that its just 30 minutes until you will be in Vegas. Load up the van if you are travelling with the whole family, or drive a Fiat if it’s you and your sweetheart:
1. Joshua Tree National Park
The name of the park comes from the Joshua tree forest that is present in this park. In 1994 this park was made US National park. This ark also includes 2 deserts, who both have their own ecosystem, they are Mojave desert and Colorado Desert. It’s a must watch park for anyone.
2. Lake Havasu
This is a a place which host close to 750,000 visitors a year. They all come to the lake for fishing and boating. There are also fishing tournaments that are held on the lake. White sturgeon are the animals who can live for more than 100 years and can be seen in Lake Havasu.
3. Palm Springs
This is a desert resort city which will give you an experience you will never forget. You can find all kinds of recreational activities like horseback riding, golf, tennis, swimming, hiking and biking in the area.Palm Springs give you a unique blend of desert and mountains.
4. Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon National park attracts per year close to 5 million visitors. Of them more than 80% are from US. Apart from sightseeing, you can always do several things like helicopter tours, rafting and hiking.
The trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas is always exciting because of the terrain that you drive through. But if you plan your trip well and make stops at the places mentioned above, you can make your trip memorable for life long.
